What is it? A couple gorgeous miles of white-sand beaches that’s probably the best place to take a dip in Key Biscayne. Why go? This park is a great family park. There’s a ton of parking at just $7 per vehicle, barbecue, volleyball and a lot more to ensure everyone goes home nice and tired.

Key Biscayne If you want to go to the beach but want to stay away from the tourist crowd this is the place where all the locals go. Over the bridge to Key Biscayne, you'll also find paddleboard, windsurfing and kayak rentals.

This historic beach and park is located on the northern part of Key Biscayne. If you enjoyed social distancing before covid, this is your park. The beaches are enormous and offer enough space to find your own area to claim (during high season Jan-March, the beaches could be a bit busy, but still tend to be less crowded than most). The park offers a historic carousel for children and petting zoo on weekends. Snack bars are also typically open on weekends and during high season most days. Pass through Crandon Park Gardens to enjoy beautiful birds and wildlife. This area was the previously the site of the Miami Zoo opened in 1948 but was moved to its current home in Western Miami in 1980 for animal welfare reasons and space. You can still stroll through the ruins of the old zoo which are now overgrown with plant life.
