The waterfalls are just breathtaking! Family favorite!

Another gorgeous state park just 19 miles east. We hike here often - go early to avoid crowds.

Less crowed than Starved Rock but just as beautiful with access to the Vermilion River. Their are 2 main entrances along Rt 178 and then our "secret" entrance - Head South on Rt 178 to Rt 71. Right on Rt 71 to Deer Park Country Club (Deer Park Ln) entrance. Follow access road all the way back to picnic shelter. Walking path from there will lead to bridge and waterfall.
