The owner at this pair of hangouts in the neighborhoods of Los Feliz and Silver Lake is so good to dogs, and her employees are too. You truly get the feeling that they don't see dogs as less than humans. It's a real dog party out in the shady courtyard, where people fuel up on comfort food and dogs are offered water and doggie treats—organic, of course. Parking is tricky at both spots, but valet is cheap. And when the valet guy brings your car back, it'll already be cooled down for you and your dog.

A very cozy cute bar is inside of the cafe! It is a very comfortable environment for a great chat while sipping on a good drink!

Full bar. Great menu. Outdoor garden seating and a nice happy hour but we go because it is one of the only places in LA that has great buckwheat pancakes. They also have dinner and are dog friendly. A brother bakery/coffee house is attached but only open bakery hours. Free wifi.

Want to spot some celebrities having brunch? This is the place. Amazing spot for brunch and accessible by Metro. Exit Sunset/Vermont, and walk about half a mile over to Hillhurst Avenue just north of Hollywood Boulevard.
