Gower was the first place in Britain to be named an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With cliffs and woodlands ringed by sparkling beaches, the Gower peninsula is so loved by walkers, birdwatchers, sunbathers and surfers.

There are some stunning beaches along the Welsh coast. Our favourite ones are in the Gower which is just over an hours drive from Craiglas Escapes

A simply must visit, world reknown area of natural outstanding beauty, the Gower Peninsula is within a half hour drive of your accommodation. It comprises of a wide number of stunning bays along the coastline, and includes Langland, Oxwich, and Caswell Bay, to mention just a few.

Beautiful coastline, the Gower Peninsula is approximately 56 mins drive (27 miles from Y Cwtsh) and lies in the southwest region of Wales. In 1956, it became the first region of the UK to be designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
