「吳園」，俗稱「樓仔內」。與板橋「林家花園」、新竹「北郭園」、霧峰「萊園」等號稱台灣四大名園。由經營鹽業致富的吳尚新買下其宅地北邊荷蘭時期的通事何斌庭園整建而成，當時又稱「樓仔內」因當時吳家財富堪稱府城第一，而有俚語「有樓仔內的富，也無樓仔內的厝；有樓仔內的厝，也無樓仔內的富。」館內不定期展出畫展及文物。Tucked into the middle of the city is the former garden of a wealthy 19th century businessman named Wu, and upon its grounds is the old Union Hall where town meetings were held during the Japanese period. The garden and hall were built for separate purposes and have separate histories, but now form a unified site of culture and leisure. The garden’s aesthetics were amongst the most celebrated on the island and many of the islands elites gathered there for leisure. It was known as one of the “four great famous gardens in Taiwan.”

吳園一隅尚保留清代台灣四大名園的中式假山水庭園，日治時期的木造建築柳屋食堂在奉茶葉東泰老師的主持下，變身為十八卯茶屋；以法式風格建造的台南公會堂於1911年啟用，成為台灣最早創建的一座具公共集會功能之現代建築物，至今依舊是台南最優雅的展演空間。

當時為鹽商吳家之住所，建築有著家族的氣勢，內部又有庭園水池造景、廂房、兩層樓木造建築，是一個躲在城市叢林的小綠洲，也是年輕人約會、野餐最好的地點
