National Park
“Located about 1.5 hours from our property. This dramatic landscape testifies to nature's size, beauty, and diversity—huge mountains, rugged foothills, deep canyons, vast caverns, and the world's largest trees. The parks lie side by side in the southern Sierra Nevada east of the San Joaquin Valley. Weather varies a lot by season and elevation, which ranges from 1,370' to 14,494'.”

“I'd say this is the most special place to see in Fresno. It's literally the coolest place in town on a summer afternoon! If not a wonder of the world, a true Fresno original.”

Lake
“For a day out at the lake, especially during the hot summers here in Clovis/Fresno, plan to take a day trip to our closest and largest fresh water reservoir at the base of the Sierras. Only about a 20 minute drive from our residence, this lake provides the opportunity to day camp, hiking trails, fishing opportunities as well as a public swim beach just inside the marina entrance. A small one day pass is required for entrance fees. If you have a boat, this is the perfect lake that provides a wonderful experience for every water enthusiast. Great lake for recreational boating, house boating, fishing and swimming. If you enjoy water skiing or wake boarding, this is the perfect lake to spend the day. Access to this location from our residence is directly north of our location, off of Friant Road. Take Willow Avenue north until it intersects Friant Road and then proceed north on Friant Road for approximately 4 miles until you get to Millerton Lake. ”
