A lovely short walk through lush native bush leads to the cascading Wainui Falls, the largest and most accessible falls in Golden Bay/Mohua - there's a long swing bridge to enjoy as well. 3.4 km return via same track Walking and tramping 1 hr 20 min return Easy: Walking track Source: DOC

Wainui Falls: take a trip out to the other side of Golden Bay, past Pohara in the direction of Totoranui. Follow signs to Wainui Falls car park. A good bush walk including the crossing of a suspension bridge up to the Wainui falls. Perhaps stop for refreshments and victuals at Penguin Café in Pohara on the way back or carry on to Toto Café which is about 4 kms towards Totaranui
