This trailhead is easy to find and has a large parking lot, which makes parking easy no matter the crowds. There are trails of varying lengths, many with great views over Santa Fe. I love these trails because you can hike for 30 minutes or 4 hours, choosing different routes to match what you want. At every trail juncture there's a map of the larger trail system, so it's very easy to figure out where you are and where you want to go. You don't need a map--you can just start hiking! Most of the trails are easy to moderate hikes, with sections that climb uphill.

Our favorite short hike with great views starts and ends at this trailhead, but lots of other options exist on this clearly marked trail system.
