Popular town 10 mins drive - lovely main drag with historic Moreton Bay Fig Trees centre to the Main Street. Many cafes/restaurants & a restored historic cinema. Beautiful beaches & peaceful inlets for plentiful fish.

Sawtell has a reputation as one of the most atractive beachside towns on the north coast. The main street astounds with the beautiful broad fig trees, which are uplit at night. There are a plethora of busy cafes, and a few boutiques as well as the locally owned historic cinema in the centre. Patrolled, open surf beach with rock pools, popular with young families, located at the southern end near the boat ramp. Further around the headland you'll find the original ocean swimming pool. The headland offers a good vantage pont for watching the sunset over the hinterland whilst enjoying some take away fish and chips and a glass of something refreshing (evening picnics here are a popular local activity). It's also an excellent place for whale watching during September and October.
