You walk through a very nondescript black doorway and enter an expansive space that is on par with galleries in Manhattan's Chelsea district. They represent Barry McGee, who’s kind of recognized as the biggest contemporary artist still living in San Francisco right now, as well as a strong roster of national and international artists working across different mediums. If it’s overcast, definitely wear some sunglasses when you first walk in, as the lighting is very bright. Endless amounts of excellent Mexican food and great bars around here.
