Beautiful historic house, gift shop and garden of surprises, well worth a visit. The beautiful deer park designed by Capability Brown is also freely accessible to walkers.

Burghley House is a stunning Stately Home that hosts the famous Burghley Horse Trials once a year, at the beginning of September. Not only is the estate a beautiful place to walk around & view, but the horse trials are a magnificent event to attend for friends and family!

One of the largest and grandest surviving houses of the sixteenth century and a magnificent example of the great Elizabethan ‘prodigy’ houses. In addition to being able to tour this grand house, green tranquil walks, modern sculpture and family fun await you in the gardens and parkland designed by ‘Capability’ Brown in the 18th century. The sweeping vistas in the parkland across to the spires of Stamford also act as the setting for the Burghley Horse Trials, an internationally acclaimed equestrian event which takes place each year.
