Situated in Buen Retiro Park, Palacio De Cristal is a breathtaking structure made of glass and metal. Constructed by architect Ricardo Velazquez Bosco in 1887, the glass structure was built to showcase the exotic flora and fauna of the Philippines. Shaped like a Greek cross, the structure is built on a brick foundation and features an iron framework. The rest, as one can see, is created from glass. While lovely during the day, the Palacio De Cristal is utterly enchanting when viewed at night. Be sure to witness this splendid architectural marvel when you visit the city.
