The local walk - amazing views and a great buzz around the place in peak season.

Conic Hill has fabulous views over Loch Lomond and, even though the track is a bit steep in places, it's an easier walk than Ben Lomond. Depart from Balmaha on the east side of the Loch.

If you want to get away from the city, head to Balmaha, park in the car park and head to the back and follow the trail up Conic Hill for breathtaking views and some fresh air! It takes around 1 hr 30 to reach the top and the climb is moderate level. Have a rest and refreshment afterwards at the Oak Tree Inn.

Located on the eastern side of Loch Lomond from the popular village of Balmaha is a short climb to the top of Conic Hill. Here you will find a spectacular view of Loch Lomond & it’s beautiful islands. The beauty of this hike is that you don’t need to go all the way up to take in the generous views, as they will start unfolding at your feet from a third of the way up.

Easy hill to get you started over looking loch Lomond. 3 hrs up and down and a fantastic and reasonably priced restaurant at the bottom. The top of conic hill is breath taking and will give you pictures of loch Lomond to die for. A short drive by car. By train, you get a train from Clydebank to Balloch and then get the 309 bus towards Balmaha. If doing the hill in the afternoon make sure you leave time to catch the last buses back to Balloch.
