Beach time? Schroon Lake Beach is right in the village, with a wide grassy area behind it with trees for shade, grass for games, and a playground for when the young ones need a break from the water. There are also bathrooms and a concession stand.

A lovely beach and swimming area with a raft, lifeguards, a playground, and a big grassy hill (for rolling down in the summer and for sledding down in the winter). The docks are also a good place for the wee ones to cast a line in and catch a sunny or perch.

Only an hour north of Saratoga Springs, you can enjoy a beautiful adirondack beach on a pristine lake. There are other lake beaches closer to Saratoga, but we think this one is worth the drive.
