Located just 2.5km from The Majestic Ipoh. It serves as the main railway terminal for the state under Keretapi Tanah Melayu, offering KTM Intercity services, ETS services, as well as handling freight trains. The Ipoh railway station was initially meant to be a hospital and used before the 20th century as such before being turned into a station. The original completion year of 1917 was delayed for three years due to lack of construction materials as well as high costs during World War I. Designed by Arthur Benison Hubback, it was first constructed and opened in 1935, making it the second concrete station to be constructed in the town.

Night time activities in Ipoh is quite limited, but if you are too full after dinner, we recommend you to visit the Ipoh railway station, take a walk in the garden, let the breeze calms you down, take some memorable pictures, watch the water fountain show which starts after 8pm.

Ipoh's train station is a harmonious Moorish and Victorian architectural masterpiece, framed by broad arches and capped with a broad white dome. Completed in 1917 this is Ipoh's most recognizable landmark and a favorite spot for photographers (and selfie snappers).
