A short 8km drive from The Owl House is Tala Game Lodge. They do not accept cash at the gate so please be sure to have a credit card available if you intend to visit. there is a restaurant on site and a nicely stocked tourist shop with some great beadwork and carvings available. Although you won't see the big 5 (no cats, buffalo or elephants) there is still a great collection of wildlife in a natural habitat, and because the reserve is small you are guaranteed good sightings.

Lovely day out. Great picnic sites and swimming pool. Can do self drives.

The game reserve is stocked with game including hippo, giraffes, antelope, zebra and warthogs. The reserve is a birders' paradise. There is a restaurant which provides light meals.

70kms from Umdloti, a definite to do - picnic at the rockpools, game drives, dining in lovely restaurants with lovely views of the gardens and game strolling past.
