The Fire Tower is a symbol of the town of Sopron. It has Roman foundations, its cylindrical part is medieval, its balcony and clock tower are Renaissance, its dome is Baroque. Its Loyalty Gate frames the 2,000-year history of the town centre.

Great view over the city during the time of the festival a lot of times discounts for visitors. Its an old tower where the guards of the city were watching if there is a fire.

Sopron város jelképe a Tűztorony. Alsó hengeres része római falmaradványokra épült, a XIII. századtól a városfalak északi kaputornyaként szolgált.
