The name is spelt as Chapora Fort and not Chopara Fort. It's an historical fort. It was built by the Portuguese army. This fort was abandoned since 1961, because the Indian soldiers liberated Goa from the Portuguese rule. The scene from the Chapora Fort is amazing. It's breath taking. The 🌞 set too is amazing. During Full Moon days the scene is so amazing that it's out of this world.

This is yet another popular destination for tourists and is especially a favourite evening haunt for people to chill out. The fort overlooks the Chapora river and hence its name. The best time to visit Chapora Fort is evening time because sunset sky looks spectacular from here. Moreover, when the sky paints everything around, especially the Chapora River and beaches of Chapora, in its sunset colour, ah! the sight is just out of this world.
