Our mountain sanctuary

Come relax and play in the great outdoors. Our area is abundant with lakes, rivers, waterfalls and hiking (the Appalachian trail is just a mile away). Our rustic cabin is built from 1875 hand hewn logs and is located on Spivey Creek in Unicoi County Tennessee. The towns of Erwin TN and Burnsville NC are just down the mountain for shopping convenience. For the arts, entertainment and airport convenience Asheville NC and Johnson City TN are less than an hour away. Come stay in our lovely cabin.

Nanny’s Cottage

Conveniently close to Fairfield Glade Golf courses, and other activities. Nanny’s Cottage is 300sqft with 1 full bed room w/ queen bed, full bath, washer and dryer, and WiFi. It has big picturesque windows for lots of natural lighting, but also blackout blinds to darken the inside. The outside of the property boasts a beautiful pond and dock to have a relaxing place to sit and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. To enjoy the outside on those chilly nights we have a fire pit with outdoor sitting.

Wee Nook- a Hobbit Hole

Wee Nook is a 360 square foot living space with a full kitchen and bathroom. It is tucked underground in the middle of the woods. Please come enjoy the woods, farm animals, trails, pond and wide open space while you're here! As JRR Tolkien said: “In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hold, and that means comfort.”

Welcome to our modern sanctuary nestled in the serene woods of Smithville, just a stones throw away from the tranquil waters of Center Hill Lake. Solace Sphere offers a contemporary twist on the classic dome design, featuring a one bedroom layout with a loft, complemented by a rejuvenating waterfall shower and top-of-the-line appliances for your comfort and convenience. We are located 1-1/2 hours from Nashville and 3 miles from Pate’s Ford Marina Bar and Grill. We hope you find your Solace.

The Ambleside Cottage

The Ambleside Cottage offers full privacy for a single or a couple looking for a serene getaway surrounded by the beauty of the Appalachian mountains. This magical cabin is conveniently located for travelers, yet Ambleside feel like a remote retreat nestled in the woods above Elk Fork Creek. Welcome to The Hive! This is the second unit on our hobby farm and a nature lovers paradise :) Gorgeous views and abundant wildlife both day and night. After parking near the main home you will take a very short (under 300ft) walk down the hill to the 24ft yurt. On the walk down stop and say hello to the farm animals. Inside the yurt you will have all the amenities to keep you entertained and cozy. Venture out to hike, kayak, shop, etc or just stay in with a good book.
