Great place for families and friends to enjoy in a peaceful environment while exploring the southern part of Iceland. The house is located in the middle of the golden circle close to Thingvellir and 50 minutes drive from Reykjavík. The house consists of three bedrooms, two on the ground floor and a large mezzanine floor with two beds. It can sleep up to 8 people. It has a bathroom with a shower but there’s also a shower in the laundry room next to the hot tub for convenience. HG-00016412

Situated near a horse farm just outside Selfoss with a mountain view, not far from the seaside. Many locations are found near by which include all kinds of different activities & all their extraordinary experiences, restaurants & attractions. Lakeside cabin on private property with access to the lake and permit to fish from the beachfront. Surrounded by stunning nature and forest, a playground for children, and lots to explore in the surrounding areas. The hot tub seen in the picture is not in working order, it is being connected in the fall 2026. It can currently be used with firewood, but you have to bring it yourself (or collect firewood in the forest. There is a saw in the little shack)

Gamla Húsið - The Old Farm-House

Gamla húsið is in Kirkjuferjuhjaleiga horse-farm, located in the south of Iceland, 35km -from Reykjavík in Ölfus and 3min. drive off Route 1. Perfect as either the starting point for an exploration of southern Iceland or as a base since it is close to the Golden Circle and a few hours drive to the glaciers and black sands of the south. Kirkjuferjuhjaleiga is a horse farm, on the banks of the salmon-rich Ölfusá river surrounded by beautiful landscape.
