Wee Nook is a 360 square foot living space with a full kitchen and bathroom. It is tucked underground in the middle of the woods. Please come enjoy the woods, farm animals, trails, pond and wide open space while you're here! As JRR Tolkien said: “In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hold, and that means comfort.”

Located in the world-famous Greater World Earthship Community, this modern off-grid home is one of a kind! Built by hand over 8 years by me, your host, Kirsten. Like all Earthships this house is built from natural and repurposed materials such as used automobile tires, cardboard, old cans and bottles. All electricity for the house is from solar. Secluded Stone Cabin w/ Wood-Fired Hot Tub

Peaceful and secluded retreat to unplug and unwind. This off‑the‑grid experience has no electricity or flushing toilets, we do provide the essentials: running hot water, an outhouse, all the firewood you will need and propane lighting. Stay includes access to a handcrafted, wood‑fired hot. Four-wheel-drive, or high-profile two-wheel drive vehicles are needed to get to the cabin. We must greet guests at arrival to show you how to use the propane lights.

Forest stay in underground cedar Gully huts where you walk between structures and separate bathhouse. You won't run into anyone, this is a secluded getaway.
