Blackhorse Cabin

Quant little cabin nestled high enough in the mountain to view Mt Alice from the front porch and still close enough to the town of Seward. There is a queen bed and a futon. The love seat reclines also. There is a fire pit you are free to use and some bikes hang from the deck of the main house feel free to use those. The house is located up the mountain but the road can be heard from the cabin. The queen bed and twin futon are located in the same room. One guest complained the area was to small.

Located at the base of Mount Marathon, you are just a few doors down from the start of the famous Mount Marathon race, a five minute walk to downtown, and a ten minute walk to the waterfront!

Unique Alaskan 2 Bed Yurt in Fairy Tale Forest

Try something different and stay in one of our brand new yurts! These comfy accommodations are nestled in the forest in a fairytale atmosphere. This yurt has 2 twin beds, a skylight looking up to the tree canopy, electricity, heater/fan, and shared restroom facilities. A covered pavilion offers several picnic tables, BBQ grill, and a nearby fire pit area. The yurts are truly an Alaskan "glamping" experience. We offer 10% off of glacier and whale cruises. We have bunk bed and queen yurts, too.

This glass-front Aframe cabin was completed March 5, 2020. Its modern appeal includes a master bedroom downstairs, a loft bedroom upstairs, and a sofa couch in the living area for a comfortable max of 6 people. The units also include a beautiful wet room, clawfoot tub, wood pellet stove, kitchenette, and private deck. Set 6 feet off the forest floor, this naturally lit cabin has an especially enchanting canopy view of Resurrection Bay. Salted Roots Cabins offers 5 private nightly units.

It’s super cozy, away from the downtown hustle-bustle, and a short walk to the beautiful 16-mile Lost Lake Trail, where I love to hike, wade in streams, and roll in snow. My dog-friendly cabin is in a popular all-season adventure spot for mountain/snow bikers, trail runners, backcountry/cross-country skiers, and snowmachiners. Pack your gear and come on over! Miss Lucy’s Loft

Relax with the family at this peaceful lofted mother in law apartment. Enjoy the balcony looking into the wooded surroundings, take a stroll down to the riverbed just a short walk down the road. This apartment is located approximately 6.5 miles outside of Seward. Just a short drive from the bear lake weir. Inside you’ll find local recommendations and some of our favorite attractions and hiking trails. Extra parking is available if needed for cars/trailers etc just let me know!

Grouse Lake Campground is uniquely situated along Grouse Lake at the edge of Chugach National Forest. This is a WALK-IN, TENT-ONLY campground with parking at the entrance. Each site has a beautiful view of the lake to watch the wildlife such as the occasional ducks, beavers, and land otters. Chugach National Forest is aTemporate Rainforest. And, although we do have many sunny days, be prepared for rain. Campsite #8 is large enough for one, 6 person tent or two, 5 person tents.

Beach House #1

A quaint cottage a short walk from Lowell Point Beach. The cottage has a bedroom with a queen sized bed, and a private carpeted loft with a queen-sized mattress. The loft has a steep staircase, so not ideal for young children or people with mobility issues. A single futon in the living room brings the total sleeping capacity to 5 people. The kitchen is equipped with pots, pans, dishes and utensils. Guests can enjoy use of the picnic area, with a barbecue grill and fire pit.

Cottage in the Woods

Adventure awaits at our cozy retreat, just 10 minutes from Seward! The walk down to the cabin is a little steep and includes stairs. Inside, a loft is accessed by a STEEP ladder, adding rustic charm. Water has been disconnected for the winter and is reconnected in May. There’s no Wi-Fi or TV—just mountains, fresh air, and peace. Enjoy the quiet, spot wildlife, stargaze at night, and use our cabin as a unique base for your unforgettable Alaskan adventure.
