Southern Sun is related to Mountain Sun, which is located in Downtown. They serve the same high-quality beer, and have the same wonderful vibe, but Southern Sun is much larger and has a killer view of the Flatirons from the outdoor patio. This location can still be quite busy - especially in the afternoons on the weekends when all the hikers, bikers and climbers come down out of the mountains craving salty homemade french fries, awesome burgers and delicious beer.

Logan is a wonderful person who continues to bus tables and talk to his customers on a daily basis. There is absolutely nothing pretentious or hipster about this coffee shop, yet they serve the quality that has unfortunately been associated with stark hipster coffee shops. I love this place - especially in the mornings on the weekend when all of the people from the neighborhood (used to be us when we lived there) go and meet up for coffee and catching up while the kids play in the courtyard.

Wonderful for brunch. The Hank's Eggs is not on the menu anymore but is a delicious pile of eggs, tomatoes, avocado, and potatoes. It is delicious... especially when shared with someone who orders the benedict.

Fantastic pizzeria specializing in Neapolitan pizza. The owner of Pizzeria Locale also owner Frasca next door which was a recent nominee for the James Beard award for best restaurant in America. Food quality is fantastic, price is great and service is the best you will find. This place is our go-to for romantic dates, large dinners out with friends, or the occasional Wednesday night pizza run... it really is perfect for all occasions.

Boxcar is a fantastic coffee shop with their take on "cowboy" coffee. If they have an Ethiopian coffee on the menu, order it!

Rayback is very unique for Boulder. It is a large industrial space with a huge outdoor space where different food trucks park every night. This place is particularly great for large groups, and kids. There is live music often and over 40 taps to choose from.

Bramble & Hare is a gem. Real life Farm to Table concept that has been delivering unbelievable food for quite a long time. They also have one of the best cocktail lists in Boulder. Order any of the cocktails with mezcal in it. The cocktail list changes all the time so I can't recommend a specific drink, but they always work wonders with bourbon, rye or mezcal.

Parks & Nature
Betasso is nice because it is close and you can get into the mountains without a far drive. Betasso is particulularly great for mountain biking and trail running.
