Superb 'all-you-can-eat' sushi place. Very good value for money. Sumo has several restaurants in Amsterdam, this is the closest one to the apartment.

We really like this Italian franchise (well actually German) for it's great pasta's. It's only about 8 EUR, but don't go there for the atmosphere (it's mass production).

Another great meat place, might be one of the better once in Amsterdam. Again prices are steep, but this place is definitely worth it. If you take a 3-5 course menu, you won't be disappointed!
