KGB (Killer Gourmet Burger) in Bangsar has become my favourite spot for burgers when the craving strikes. To me, the burgers have been fairly consistent in the last 2 years — the patty is made using fresh ground beef with just the right amount of fat so it remains juicy throughout.

This place garnered a bit of debate between rif and myself. He likes the food there on both our brunch visits, while I wasn’t a convert the first time around. Admittedly, they do a good Southern Fried Breakfast which I often crave every now and then.
We also love the pan seared slow cooked chicken thigh, with mushroom cream sauce. That is rich, hearty and oh-so-sinful! Service was a miss on both our visits; so go there with that in mind and you won’t be disappointed.

One of the city’s trademark tourist hotspots, it is just a ten-minute walk from KL Sentral station.

Buddhist Maha Vihara is an attractive Brickfields temple, about one km from KL Sentral station. Far away enough from the main streets to provide it with a hushed, soothing ambiance, it serves the area’s Sri Lankan community. Locals call it the Brickfields Buddhist Temple and the rusty-red and powder white shrine is small, but inside it is a walled-in world of high ceilings, prettily ornate fixtures and impressive reclining Buddha statues that makes a trip here worthwhile.

Far away enough from the main streets to provide it with a hushed, soothing ambiance, it serves the area’s Sri Lankan community. Locals call it the Brickfields Buddhist Temple and the rusty-red and powder white shrine is small, but inside it is a walled-in world of high ceilings, prettily ornate fixtures and impressive reclining Buddha statues that makes a trip here worthwhile.
The area has long been Kuala Lumpur's most prominent retail belt that is home to many landmark shopping centres, al-fresco cafés, swanky bars, night markets, as well as hawker-type eateries. This area is popular among tourists and locals, especially among the youths. A part of Bintang Walk is designated as an "Arab Street".

In addition to the 20.9-acre (8.5 ha) bird park, which was created in 1991, the gardens include an artificial lake, the National Monument, the Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park, the Deer Park, Orchid and Hibiscus gardens, and the former Malaysia Parliament House. It is one of the world's largest covered bird parks.
