Kogelberg Nature Reserve TrailCrystal Pools is a very popular and fairly easy hike to a series of mountain pools in a beautiful Valley known as the Steenbras River Gorge, but it officially forms part of the Steenbras Nature Reserve, and the hike follows the Palmiet River up the gorge.
This hike is for the adventurers. Suicide Gorge is a full day trip (17km, 8 hours) of adrenaline pumping outdoor adventure in the scenic Boland Mountains. It's a wet hike, ideal for summer, a water wonderland with spectacular canyon scenery, waterfalls and huge jumps.
Hike up the rugged gorge, arrive at a series of rock pools and test your courage by kloofing, a combination activity of walking, swimming and jumping. The excitement is jumping off the cliffs into the fresh water. Get ready to jump from huge heights; jumps range from 3 to 20 metres high.

The famous Blue Flag beach – Bikini Beach, Gordon’s Bay lies tucked against the Gordon’s Bay old harbour wall which shelters this fantastic beach from the southerly winds that often blow during the summer months.
The beach is said to have been named because of the bikinis worn by students from nearby Stellenbosch University.
Lifeguards are on duty during the Blue Flag season (December to March). There is limited parking close to the beach but a short walk away there is timed parking available at the harbour.

Strand Beach is an ideal beach set at the foot of the Hottentots Holland Mountains on the Eastern Edge of False Bay. The Strands beautiful white sand stretches along 5 kilometers and makes this a fantastic place for that romantic stroll or that jog on the beach you have been meaning to go on!
GOOD, SAFE FUN FOR ALL
The space comprises manicured, leafy grounds and extremely well-maintained facilities (waterslides, jungle gyms, a zip slide, Putt-Putt and cafe) and is supported by the smiling staff members, who are all trained in first aid, plus a full-time lifeguard. No alcohol, glass bottles or braais are allowed.
The great thing about Waterworld Strand is that it appeals to a range of ages. On a typical day, you might see under-6s (and their parents) buzzing around in a special fenced-off area under the shade of milkwood trees, while older kids queue eagerly for the various slides, of which there are five.
A few teens will likely be playing on the (very impressive) rope ladder obstacle course, while next door hand-holding 20-something couple might be trying their hand at putt-putt. Some parents will be seated in the cafe area sipping coffees and nibbling on pizza, while others join in all the sliding and swimming fun.
