This has to be one of the most under-appreciated little spots in the city. I highly recommend visiting and getting the personal touch of the proprietor, who seems to run the place all by herself. Amazingly original Asian Fusion menu. Soups are great, and popular for desserts, but my favorite are the rice bakes with curry and cheese on top, especially the wild mushroom with curry and the beef mix with curry. Enough food for the next day.

Never been here personally, but it's on my list. Guests tell me it's good beer, decent food, easy to get a table last minute. I'm told it's a boisterous place but worth the trip, especially for larger groups.

This is a definitely a Bar. Local's scene with cheap drinks and a bad pool table...in other words, perfect. Nicest dog-loving, Shakespeare-genius bartender I know, not to mention the regulars.

Too much to mention, except that this and highway 280 and so many other iconic spaces that make SF great are the work of landscape architects like William Hammond Hall, FL Olmsted, and Lawrence Halprin.

Wander or bike here with many secret spots along the way, or branch off into residential or commercial areas, Sutro Baths, museums, or walk from Ocean Beach all the way to the GG Bridge in an afternoon along the trail.
