Take a walk to Mt Tabor park, which is a dormant volcanic vent. Find the park entrance on 71st and Taylor where you will be transported from the city streets to the forest. Follow all the trails to the top, or take the 100 stair climb, where you'll find a stunning view of the city on one side and a view of Mt Hood on the other. A playground for kids can also be found on the north side.
