Our home is a great base camp or respite for the Tahoe Rim Trail. A fun hike is from our house to Mt. Rose Highway. (a little over 14 miles on the TRT). If we are around we might be able to shuttle you. Just ask us.

It's crowded on the weekend! But it has all you would expect from Safeway and a decent organic section. If you want to beat the crowds though, go to the Central Market, they have most of the essentials, better quality and no crowds.

Great place to rent ski's, snowboards, snow shoes, etc... You'll pay less and beat the resort crowds. I highly recommend you get snow shoes for a day and hike up to the Stateline Fire lookout while you are hear. The trail starts two blocks from our house.
