The Tram is great. Simply watching the various vistas and micro-climates and terrains is great. On the crest there is a trail that's very enjoyable, and flora-fauna displays. In 2018, the restaurant should reopen and is a great way to take a meal. Beware the altitude--11 k feet.

First, pay attention to the speed limit through Ranchos de Albuquerque! Then, totally enjoy the diversity--vineyards next to a variety of residences next to horse ranches, and then there's Dietz Farm with a Flying Star and a great Bookworks bookstore.

Parks & Nature

The trail along the river is lovely, but I particularly love the Pond Room--they have microphones out on the small pond and a viewing room where I can sit for hours and listen to the frogs and birds while watching and not disturbing them.

Recently I learned that in addition to having the highest per-capita PhDs, New Mexico also has the highest per-capita number of micr-breweries AND community theaters! Go figure. The ALT has great productions, well done, good variety.

Shopping

I pinpointed the Apple Store, but UPTOWN is a shopping and eating experience. Lots of shops, including all of the usual medium upscale shops--Williams Sonoma.... Nearby are even more good shopping and eating options at Coronado Mall (north on Louisiana) and Winrock Center (south on Louisiana).
