Here are some things to do both in Tyresö and Stockholm. Stockholm is quite spread out over a large area. If you’re only in Stockholm for a couple of days it may be best to focus on a couple of places in the city center of Stockholm.
SKANSEN: A popular place is Skansen situated at Djurgården. Skansen is an open air museum with old houses and Swedish fauna. There are many more things to see at Djurgården, like the Vasa Museum and many more museums and also Gröna Lund which is an amusement park.

The palace "Tyresö Slott" also known as "Armadale Castle" was built in 1630 and is definitely one of the many things you have to see if you're in Tyresö. I's beautifully located and has it's own park. There are guided tours on Saturdays and Sundays at 2 o'clock in the castle during August. It's free for everyone under the age of 18, but 100 SEK for adults.

Vissvass is actually a typical old village preserved in beautiful countryside and bordered by sounds of the Baitic. The remains of a stone-age settlement have been found here. The village is a good starting point for hikes in extensive recreation areas and swimming. Perfect for anyone who has a car or has the stamina for walking great distances :)

You will find the northern entrance to the National Park at the end of Alby, pass the road where you'll see a road barrier and keep on walking to "Nyfors" which the entrance is called, it's about 10 minutes from Alby.

There are a couple of cafés and a prepared trails where you can cross-country ski ⛷️ in the winter. There are several trekking trails in Alby for walking, running, biking throughout the year.

You can park 3 hours for free, a camera register your vehicle’s registration plate.

Public transport
BUS 🚌 SUBWAY🚊
The local SL bus goes regularly every 15 minutes during the day.
The citybus 815 C goes between Tyresö Strand and Stockholm city during rush hours, which takes about 35 minutes. The bus operates early in the morning to Stockholm and back again to Tyresö Strand in the afternoon.
It goes straight to Stockholm city with just a couple of stops on the way (Tyresö skola <-> Vattugatan) which is close to the Central Station.
The regular bus 875 or 805 (Tyresö <-> Gullmarsplan) takes 25 - 30 minutes which connects to the subway station at Gullmarsplan with additional 10 minutes to / from the city center.
You can pay using your iPhone/Android or card with unlimited travels throughout the Stockholm area within the span of 70 minutes. This includes the bus, subway, commuter train and trams.
During the night you take the night bus 890🌛 (Tyresö <-> Gullmarsplan).

The church "Tyresö Kyrka" is very closely located to Tyresö Slott and was built in 1641. It has a very interesting history and is open from time to time. It's free for everyone to enter. There you can go to worship services or watch the interesting decoration and paintings and sometimes they have musical performances.
