This is a museum/art gallery/theatre thats is in front of ipanema beach! not many visitors go there but there is always something happening. Its not big, but its worth a visit.

Arpoador is a rock in the far end of ipanema beach thats have the best scenic view from the sunset. I recomend arriving around 17 to be sure to catch the sunset but its beautifull anytime.

this is a beautifull scenic place with a great view from the beach on the opposite side of the arpoador. It is in the famous leblon neghborhood.

sports and recreation
This skatepark is small but very good. There is a street section and a bowl section. People are usually friendly, but keep in mind that it gets busy during peak hours.
I usually go in the morning for a ride in the lagoon. Until 8:00 its pretty empty, after it gradually get crowded.
You can grab my skate if you want ;) but pls dont get hurt :)

Flamengo is THE most popular club in Brazil and its in the lakeside of Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, a beautifull neighborhood and a short walk from my apartament.
There is a museum, visitation and a store. I suggest as part of a visit to the lagoon.

There is a museum, visitation and a store. I suggest as part of a visit to the lagoon.

This is square is central to ipanema and probably to your trip in rio too! here you will find the subway. There is also a food fair every thuesday, that sells vegetables, fruits, fishes and meats directly from the producers and its quite an experience to go, gringos usually love it.
dont forget to try the "pastel with caldo de cana" pastry with juice from sugar cane.. its a classic and a must for wannabe cariocas :)
