My favorite Trails
Follow Verde Valley School Rd, when you leave the more populated area, the parking for Transept Trailhead is located on the left. No permit required. This trail used to be a "local" trail - unmarked. I like it because you can do a quick in and out Hike/stroll or follow it all the way to Highline Trail. It is especially great during sunsets!

I love this one. Great to do it early in the morning before the crowds are up - perhaps a sunrise hike. Go all the way to Chickenpoint and savor the phenomenal view: Bell Rock on your left and Cathedral straight ahead.

Trail Running
A great five-mile run: Start at Bell Rock Vista, follow Big Park Loop to Courthouse Butte Loop, then cross back over via Rector Connector and finish strong on Bell Rock Pathway.

Park your car at Little Horse Trailhead and embark on a 5+mile run:
Follow Bell Rock Pathway to HT Trail (you will cross under both lanes of 179) - turn right onto Easy Breezy and stay on that trail until you find yourself below Cathedral Rock (do a climb if you feel like it) or stay left and take Templeton Trail until you hit junction with HT trail and you embark on your return.
Great run, and Easy Breezy is a pretty smooth path with some welcomed shade; the trail crosses through the wash several times, enjoy the immensely beautiful views!

If you are looking for a green fix, this trail is it!

Fun things to do with your dog
Unbelievable setting, lush & green, a welcoming reprieve in the desert. The locally grown wines are delicious, enjoyed by the glass or as flight.
However, I honestly think 50% of the attraction to us is that dogs are allowed to be off leash. It is safe as the vineyard is off the beaten path and far from any major roads.
My dog, Joy, loves when we come here, she plays non-stop with Kevin, the ground-keeper's Aussie, and other visiting dogs. Literally a dog's paradise!

Personally, I have always stayed in VOC, found it to be a more relaxing atmosphere. Also, my favorite Bell Rock and its Cousins, Courthouse Butte and Castle Rock, are here. If coming from the South, you will enjoy their majestic greeting. In a way, VOC is a first introduction to Sedona.

The Sedona Atheltic Club, one of the two fitness facilities within walking distance of the complex.
I love the 25 meter lap pool, the well equipped gym, warrior pit, the classes and of course the spa. The Efora Spa has a wonderful spa and massage menue.
