Local Hiking
These are my favorite hikes close to Burlington. I have many other recommendations for hikes which are a bit further away and more strenuous. If you are interested in these, please ask me personally about them; they are not easily summarized in this format.
Nice local hike onto a peninsula that extends into Lake Champlain. Approximately 3 miles of hiking.

One of the most beautiful places in Vermont. An old railway causeway has been converted to a hike/bike trail. 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains (Green mountains and Adirondacks). The Causeway extends about 3 miles into the lake.

A short hike of around 2 miles up a small mountain, this hike offers the best views from a mountaintop in the shortest amount of time. Around 25 minutes from the house.
