The city supplies outdoor seating so you can sit and people watch while enjoying some food and drinks. There is almost always live music being performed in the street. And during the holidays lots of fun and family friendly activities. The Plaza also has some good places to shop, if thats your thing.

The highest point in the Western Hemisphere...the elevator ride alone is worth the trip! The view from atop the Freedom Tower are incredible. Buy your tickets online to skip the line.

Top of the Rock observation desk is located at Rockefeller Center which during December home to the NYC Christmas tree and the world famous Ice skating rink.

The park supplies beautiful views of the bridge and downtown Manhattan and is a great place to chill and relax.

Liberty State Park has some of the most beautiful view of the city, the Brooklyn Bridge and the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. This vast park has a lot to offer and the walk along the waterfront. Plenty of spots to set up a bbq, if you felt like spending the day.

This is a really nice Pier to relax at and enjoy the views. There is a great unobstructed view of the Manhattan skyline. On clear days you can see the George Washington Bridge and Verrazano Narrows Bridge. There are benches, a long grassy area to spread out, and a nice playground for the kids. Across the street are various bars and eating establishments.
