Bildmuseet is housed in an acclaimed building at the Umeå Arts Campus by the shores of the Umeälven river, right next to Umeå Academy of Fine Arts, Umeå Institute of Design and Umeå School of Architecture. The admission is free, and the exhibitions are great. There is a museum shop and a café. You will pass the museum if you walk by the river from were you stay to the city center.

The new culture house Väven houses the city library, a cinema, cafés, restaurants and bars, exhibitions etc. It is a nice place to visit and maybe stay for a fika or dinner.
