Urangan Pier is a historic pier In Hervey Bay. It is a former deep water cargo-handling facility originally built to facilitate the export of sugar, timber and coal. It was built between 1913 and 1917, originally to a length of 1107 metres. The pier was closed in 1985 and 239 metres of it was demolished. However, due to public outcry, 868 metres of pier was left. and the land was handed to the Hervey Bay City Council.

This location is great if you feel like some peace and quiet and great views of the Sandy Straits and Frazer Island. There are bbq facilities and shelters supplied. Great park to stroll through and read all of the monuments dedicated to things and people that have happened around Hervey Bay area over the past years.
Our kids love to visit this train park. This large shady park extends along the foreshore of the Esplanade at Torquay with direct access to the beach and Torquay Pier. With play equipment and toilets, picnic areas, bbq, showers and shaded areas.
