The main shopping street in inner city center. Many main stream shops together with high fashion. Walk from the city hall to Kongens Nytorv. This is touristic, but provides a good atmosphere. In walking distance, but close to central station.

A street from one end of Vesterbro to the other. Used as a back yard of many Copenhageners. Eat your takeaway pizza on a blanket or on the roadside and be hip with the hipsters of Vesterbro. Is a 5 minute walk from the apartment and will take you to meat pack district if you follow the street.

An old butchers area rebuild to an oasis for outdoor restaurants, cafes, bars and takeaway places - the place to be in the evening when the sun is shining. It takes 15 minutes to walk there from the apartment (is very close to central station).

Visit Christiania, the famous freetown of Copenhagen, is without a doubt one of Denmark’s most popular tourist attractions where people live freely and where hash is perceived to be sold and smoked legally (it is not).

Going out in Copenhagen
There are three really good options for very high quality cocktails in the neighborhood. Duck and cover, Lidkoeb and Curfew. They are all in walking distance from the apartment. These are not “dance-party” places but really good awarded cocktail places (my favorites). If you want the more “dance-party” bars you are best off in city center where you find the bars and pubs around Vestergade - a popular bar street in center. I personally would recommend the three cocktail bars.

Rent a bike
More or less everything in Copenhagen is within biking distance and you can bike around all day seeing the city. This is the Copenhageners preferred mode of transportation. Renting bikes are easy either for days or for hours.
