One of the nicest located country pubs on the downs, also one we rate highly for food. It’s part of a pretty village on one of the highest parts of the downs plateau. Excellent 1hr 20min walk, 30min bike ride or 15min drive.

Ringlestone RoadA genuine gastro-pub restaurant. Up there with the Plough at Stalisfield as one of the best local country pubs to arrive at the end of a country walk. Really great food and ales - also a free house. Serving what is probably the best food in the downs, it is a tad pricey but worth it.
Great food, great location. Ideal place to base a walk in the Weald. Excellent Sunday Roast.
