For the outdoorsy.

If you're a lover of outdoors, you are going to be VERY pleased by the Yellow Door Guesthouse's proximity to the biggest city park in Greensboro- our beloved Country Park. A 2 mile, paved loop with sporadic dappled shade, surrounds a lake where you can fish, paddle boat, both, or neither! There's a zip line across the lake for the more daring, a dog park, sheltered picnic areas, jungle gyms, and a shaved ice stand. Country park also has miles of mountain bike/ hiking trails. We recommend the Copper head trail, the head of which is just one block from the house!

I hope you brought your stretchy pants!! Mizumi is Greensboro's favorite all-you-can-eat sushi joint! For $26 per person, you can push the boundaries of what a human stomach can do. Located in the very cute, walkable neighborhood of Fisher Park, Mizumi gives bang for your buck, gets an A+ for ambiance (especially if you opt for the traditional seating options of cross-legged on the floor with pillows), and does not disappoint! Pro-tip: if its your birthday and you have at least 3 guests doing all-you-can-eat with you, you will eat for free!

A french inspired, non profit restaurant on the main drag of downtown (Elm Street) with plenty of convenient street parking. If you come on a weekend, you'll want to get here early or be prepared to wait a while because this is a community favorite. The food is delicious and the ambiance is light, spacious and airy. Another institution of the College Hill neighborhood. A great place to get cheap well drinks and beers. Pop a seat at the bar, or grab a booth, either way you're sure to meet a local. On any given day, you could be seated in between the local preacher and a war vet, for example. This place is really a slice of life and gets pretty roudy after about 11pm on weekends.
