A visit to the Kurfürstendamm, or Kudamm as Berliners only call it, is one of the fixed program points for visitors to Berlin. The world-famous boulevard in the west of the city is not only known as a strolling mile because of the numerous stores (KaDeWe) - strolling is also worthwhile because of architectural and cultural highlights.
