Here are some of our favourite places to eat and drink in the village, all easy walking distance from the house.
Great pub food and fab atmosphere outside, all tables have heaters. No booking but be prepared to queue to be seated at busy times, it moves quickly & is well worth it. Dog friendly in and out.

The place to go for sports as they have a huge screen in their spacious bar room showing major football & rugby events etc. Dog friendly in and out.

Amazing fun for all the family with the fforest roller coaster, treetop adventure, nets and swing. All a 5 min drive/15 min walk from the house.

Beautiful lake set high above the village, challenging uphill walk starts from behind St Mary’s church (approx 45 mins) then levels out and you can walk all the way around the lake. You can also access via path behind waterloo hotel. A tranquil place of astounding beauty, my favourite place in the world. Treat with respect, take litter home with you. No swimming or water sports are allowed at Llyn Elsi.

No swimming or water sports are allowed at Llyn Elsi.
The walk around the golf course is a lovely leisurely walk, alongside the riverbank with beautiful scenery. A great spot for paddling and swimming on warmer days, and a great walk/swim for dogs. (Dogs need to be kept on a lead and on the footpath).
