Perfect to understand the canyon that makes the Nazare Big wave. A little hairy sometimes but the staff are great and make you feel in safe hands. High recommend , please book in advance.

Beautiful town. Local pastry and strolling in these pretty lanes is special. Church is stunning, free entrance with a paid part if you want to explore more. Lots of ceramic outlets around this part too,

City/town information
Now the worldwide town and its giant wave have become infamous due to netflix documentary. even without the wave its beautiful.
Head to Praia de Norte and walk the loop if you are feeling energetic. Otherwise park in toen and walk up and down the hill towards the lighthouse.
Please note on big wave days non local cars are no longer allowed in the town but a tourist train run you into town and a tuk tuk serivce is also available.
The exhibition in the lighthouse is well worth a visit.

You can easily miss this end of Peniche, cycle or drive out towards the Peniche lighthouse. Beautiful rock formations, stunning sun sets, you will pass a few restaurant too.
