La La Falls has long been a popular tourist attraction in the Warburton area. Hundreds of locals and visitors alike make the trek to the falls each year to witness the amazing beauty of the old water race. For a particularly impressive view, visit after heavy rainfall when the falls are at their most powerful. The track to La La Falls is a short drive from the Warburton township. Follow the signs from Park Road (opposite the Sanitarium factory) along Old Warburton Road, to the start of the track on Irruka Road. Old Warburton Road is accessible from Warburton or Yarra Junction. The walk to La La Falls is a very enjoyable one through tall Mountain Ash forest and attractive ferny glades, right up to the picturesque falls. Tracing the path of Four Mile Creek for approximately 1.6km each way, this walk has been popular with tourists since the 1880s. The track has a moderate grade, which can be slightly challenging; allow 1.5 hours for a return trip. There is a picnic area at the start of the track to La La Falls and a large car park. There are however no facilities at the falls themselves.

Shiprock Falls is a partly obscured but noisy little cascade running over large boulders, not far from where the giant Ship Rock ran aground. There is a viewing platform from which you can get a glimpse of the falls, safely from the side. For a closer look, the track down to the creek itself is eroding away in parts, with a steep drop down one side if you lose your footing. After some scrambling, up close the vivid whites of the falls and the bright greens of the moss-covered boulders stand out in contrast to the surrounding forest and the dark, wet rocks in the creek.

All our artisanal cheeses have been made by hand in Millgrove since 2017. No machines, nothing artificial, just good wholesome cheese made from locally-sourced milk from Gippsland. As dedicated Yarra Valley cheesemakers, we specialise in different flavours of Gouda, triple cream and marinated feta and our retail fromagerie always has something new (and delicious) to discover. We’ve perfected our art through countless hours of study, experimenting and travelling the world to sample some of the world’s best cheeses, discover the processes and traditions behind making them, and bring it all back to the Yarra Valley for you to enjoy.
