The pier towers are what remains of the short-lived Withernsea Pier. Only 2 years after completion, the pier suffered damage in the great storm of 1880. All that remains today is the pier towers which remain lovely unique local monuments atop Withernsea beach

Withernsea central promenade is a traditional quaint seaside resort offering a Blue Flag mile long beach that is dog friendly, the unique pier Towers, and a rare inland lighthouse. The area also offers the usual seaside array of fish and chip shops, ice cream parlours, local cafes, pubs, arcades and some wonderful boutique shops.
