Sightseeing

It's good for the soul to stroll along the beach, and to watch the waves. You can walk towards Faversham, past some great bird watching sites, or all the way to Herne Bay and Reculver. Or stay in Whitstable and visit The Neptune, a great local pub right on the beach, serving a good pint and good food, and a fantastic spot to watch the sun go down. Further along you will find the fishing harbour, if you fancy some fresh seafood, and the harbour market stalls on a weekend.

Great to see a working harbour, eat fresh seafood, book a trip out to the wind farms & the Maunsell Forts. On a weekend, the harbour market stalls sell local artwork & gifts, and street food.

A great introduction to Whitstable's rich history...be it about the oyster trade, its diving endeavours, one of the world's oldest locomotives 🚂, smugglers and Peter Cushing (a local resident!).
