Nordnesparken is a beautiful park located at the very tip of Nordnes. Here you can enjoy nature without having to put in much effort. There are many benches here which are well suited for enjoying picnics. If the weather allows it, it's also possible to take a swim from the dock

NordnesparkenNordnesparken is a beautiful park located at the very tip of Nordnes. Here you can enjoy nature without having to put in much effort. There are many benches here which are well suited for enjoying picnics. If the weather allows it, it's also possible to take a swim from the dock
Fløyfjellet (320 meters above sea level) is the closest mountain to the city centre. To walk up and down takes about 1,5 hours. If you do not wish to walk, it's possible to take the cable car. Fløyfjellet offers a great view over the city, and from the top there are many more hiking trails if you wish to walk further. Fløyfjellet is easily reached by foot or bus. You can take any bus that goes towards the city centre.

Fløyfjellet (320 meters above sea level) is the closest mountain to the city centre. To walk up and down takes about 1,5 hours. If you do not wish to walk, it's possible to take the cable car. Fløyfjellet offers a great view over the city, and from the top there are many more hiking trails if you wish to walk further. Fløyfjellet is easily reached by foot or bus. You can take any bus that goes towards the city centre.

The view both on the way up and from the top is spectacular, especially from the top when you look down on all the other mountains. If you do not wish to walk your way up there is also a cable car that can bring you up and down. Tickets are bought at the starting point. Ulriken is easily reached by bus. From our apartment, take bus nr. 20 (Haukeland universitetssjukehus) and go off at the last bus stop, named Haukeland universitetssjukehus. From here you can easily see the top, and the way up is well marked.

The starting point is easily reached by bus. Bus: from our apartment, you can take bus nr. 4 (Flaktveit) for about 15 minutes and go off at the stop named "Munkebotn". From here the walk to Stoltzekleiven takes about 10 minutes and is clearly marked with signs.

Getting Around
The bus stops closest to our apartment is called Gyldenpris. There are multiple stops named Gyldenpris, depending on where the bus is heading (see map of closest bus stops under pictures). If you download the app named "Skyss Reise" further explanation is given. For purchasing bus tickets, download "Skyss Billett". Know that this app can't be used to buy flight bus tickets. Tickets for the flight bus is purchased at the airport. The flight bus from the airport also stops at Gyldenpris. To disembark at Gyldenpris you need to take the flight bus that goes through Fyllingsdalen. You could also tell the bus driver where you're headed, they are very helpful.
