Fitzgerald's is the "local" pub in Avoca. It is approx. 15 mins walk from our home. It serves food up until 5.30pm. The pub is very popular with tourists as it gained notoriety for starring in the drama "Ballykissangel".

A must see is Powerscourt House and Gardens. The House is a beautiful building which contains a small number of shops selling irish made products. There is also a cafe for coffee and pastries or lunch. The large gardens are a delight to explore and the visit is not complete without stopping a the famous Powerscourt Waterfall, which is an ideal spot for a picnic.
