A classic English seaside town, with something for everyone, from the seafront with food stalls, arcades, bars and even bingo hall, to the long sandy beach, the town green and bandstand, the weekly motorcycle meet every weekend, the high street gift shops and cafes, the leisure centre, gym and pool, the dog-friendly beaches and all the viewing points for the famously spectacular sunsets.

Amazing scenic footpath from Hunstanton right round the Norfolk coast to Sea Palling. The walk from Hunstanton to Thornham takes less than half a day, is scenic and beautiful, and ends at the Lifeboat Inn (or Thornham Deli over the road). Get the bus home from outside the Deli.

One of the best beaches in Norfolk. Turn off the A149 at the signpost for the Holme-next-the-sea beach, follow the road down through the village. Near the end there are a few parking spaces by the golf course but for the best bit turn right down the long bumpy track signposted towards the NWT observatory. There's a café at the end, and woods leading to the beach and coast walk. Be aware that in summer you may have to pre-book

Wonderful wide open beach. As you walk onto the beach, if you turn left and walk for 15 mins you'll get to a small stream – turn left inland and you'll probably see seals basking by the water.
If you turn right onto the beach, you'll see a ship wreck in the distance.
Be aware that tides are fast and strong. A lot of people get stranded on the sand banks trying to reach the wreck
