Designed by German architect Max Littmann, and inaugurated in 1910 with The Magic Flute (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart), the Grand Theatre in Poznań is a main opera stage in Greater Poland Voivodeship currently directed by Michał Znaniecki.
The façade of the building is a huge portico that was built according to the rules of classical architecture of ancient Rome. Dozens of monumental steps are bordered by two sculptures: on the left, a woman riding a lion; and on the right, a man handling a panther. At the top of the staircase stand six massive Ionic columns with a triangular tympanum surmounted by a Pegasus statue, a symbol of the building. To the east is the former restaurant pavilion and to the west is a separate entrance for the emperor. The interior consists of beautifully decorated halls, foyers and other rooms, crystal chandeliers, and rich wall decorations.

Surrounding the interior are twelve different chapels, including the Chapel of the Holy Sacrament, which has several outstanding examples of Renaissance art (the tombstones of the Górka family and Bishop Benedykt Izbieński, to be specific) and the Baroque altar houses a miraculous crucifix brought to the Cathedral from the former Wrocławska town gate. The Golden Chapel was designed as the mausoleum of the first Polish monarchs and houses the sarcophagi of kings Mieszko I and Bolesław Chrobry; the two kings are also depicted in a bronze monument together, above which is a painting by January Suchodolski showing Mieszko I, the instigator of Catholicism in Poland, destroying pagan idols.

Poznań Town Hall or Ratusz is a historic building in the city of Poznań in western Poland, located at the Poznań Old Town in the centre of Old Market Square (Stary Rynek). It used to serve as the Seat of local government until 1939, and now houses a museum. The town hall was originally built in the late 13th century following the founding of the medieval city in 1253; it was rebuilt in roughly its present-day form, in mannerist style, with an ornate loggia, by Giovanni Battista di Quadro in 1550–1560. 1 Stary RynekPoznań Town Hall or Ratusz is a historic building in the city of Poznań in western Poland, located at the Poznań Old Town in the centre of Old Market Square (Stary Rynek). It used to serve as the Seat of local government until 1939, and now houses a museum. The town hall was originally built in the late 13th century following the founding of the medieval city in 1253; it was rebuilt in roughly its present-day form, in mannerist style, with an ornate loggia, by Giovanni Battista di Quadro in 1550–1560. It boasts an interior by a veritable who's who of Roman Baroque artists, with some fine period ornamentation found in the chapels of the Holy Cross (which features a 16th-century crucifix), and the Virgin Mary (which has a precious copy of the painting of The Mother of God of Incessant Help). The Basilica hosts organ concerts played on an instrument dating from 1876 on Saturdays at 12:15 (daily in July and August).

Niestety w czasach okupacji w 1940 Niemcy przekształcili ją w basen rehabilitacyjny dla żołnierzy Wermachtu. Po wojnie do roku 2012 budynek pełnił rolę miejskiej pływalni. Obecnie znajduje się znowu w rękach gminy żydowskiej ( bardzo małej w Poznaniu ). Trwają rozmowy co do jej przyszłej funkcji ( dość burzliwe ).
The New Synagogue - opened in 1907. Once is was one of the most beautiful synagogues in Poland. Unfortunately, during the occupation in 1940, the Germans transformed it into a rehabilitative swimming pool for the soldiers of the Wehrmacht. After the war, until 2012 the building served as a municipal swimming pool. Currently it is again in the hands of the Jewish community (very small in Poznań). Talks about its future function are still ongoing ( quite tempestuous).
